Dentists, And Legislators Calling For Greater Regulation Of DIY Orthodontics

With the costs associated of going to an orthodontist for braces in Harrisburg or anywhere else in the US, do-it-yourself orthodontics is becoming more and more popular. Startups like Smile Direct Club are seeing increasing patronage from people, though orthodontists and legislators across the US have called for greater regulation on these companies.

Dr. Andrew Chase of Arch Orthodontics says that there are cases of people who turn to Smile Direct Club, then require tens of thousands of dentistry needed later down the line due to complications with DIY orthodontics, calling it a high-risk sport, which is also counterproductive given that people turn to DIY orthodontics to avoid the usual costs of going to an orthodontist for braces in Harrisburg or anywhere.

The Attorney General has also received complaints regarding Smile Direct Club from 36 different states across the US. State and national orthodontist associations have also received complaints.

Lawsuits and countersuits have also been filed, like the letter sent by 9 members of the US House of Representatives to the Food and Drug Association as well as the Federal Trade Commission, which expressed the representatives’ concerns with DIY orthodontics.

Medicaid Orthodontists of Massachusetts President Dr. Mouhab Rizkallah stated that these complaints didn’t make their concerns legitimate, but the fact that x-rays were not being taken, and there was no way to ensure that the Board of Registration in Dentistry’s regulations were followed, due to the lack of an in-person doctor, is an issue.

Smile Direct Club spoke on the matter, admitting that they have been investigated by 36 states, but have noted that no dental board has actually taken any sort of final action against them for malpractice, because they are not doing so.

The company refused to speak about specific cases due to patient privacy laws, but that patients do have remote check-ins once every 90 days. They added that they’re not going to make changes with their current operations due to the complaints.

The dentists and orthodontists that have filed complaints against Smile Direct Club stated that they don’t actually want the company gone, but that they feel that increased regulations on the startup is needed in order to make sure that patients are safe. Otherwise, the medical experts say, this could lead to further complications, which will result in customers having to spend more than whatever they should have.

Dentists Using Live Chat And Telephones More And More To Deal With Patient Demand

With technology like telephone answering and live chat making communication faster and easier, dentists across the UK, including those working in Affordable Dental Solutions Limerick, are embracing technology in order to meet increasing patient demand.

Data shows a 300% increase in uptake, covering NHS and private dental practices in the UK, during January when compared to the monthly average set within the last quarter of 2019. These numbers are from communications company Moneypenny, and they state that it’s a sign of the ever-increasing demand for dental practices to deal with a variety of different pressures.

Commercial Manager for Healthcare Stephanie Vaughan-Jones stated that she believes that the spike is due to the need to handle high call volumes, cut down on number of appointments missed, as well as to secure new clients. On top of that, she notes how influential cosmetic dentistry is combined with social media platforms like Instagram

Jones explains that demand is outgrowing supply, so practices have to deal with a lot of enquiries every day, with the demand being a sign of the fact that practices like Affordable Dental Solutions Limerick focus on face-to-face customer service and patient care.

She states that live chat, in particular, has proven helpful in helping practices to properly respond to the increasing popularity of cosmetic dentistry, as well as cutting down on missed appointments, which is huge for practices. On top of all of that, it’s easier for patients to contact practices on the terms that they want to, regardless of the time of day.

Jones notes that currently, the dental industry is dealing with issues with access to care and appointment availability, which is why it’s good to see dental practices taking advantage of and embracing new methods to help keep up with demand.

The key issues are that the number of missed calls should be cut down, and practices should be available even outside of the traditional hours. Jones states that more and more practices must recognize that they need to change and adapt in order to ensure that patients get the best experience possible. For private practices, they note that this is particularly important, as they’re the ones most reliant on patient patronage.

Uncertain Times For The Real Estate Industry

COVID-19 has not yet affected the trucking industry. You can easily find a trucking company to ship your goods. Similarly, the corona virus has not seriously affected the Canadian housing market or commercial real estate. However, both industries are facing a great deal of uncertainty in the coming days because of the global impact of the outbreak.

According to Sotheby’s, International Realty real estate agent Paul Maranger, Air Canada has recently cancelled direct flights between Toronto and other Asian countries which means that foreign buyers are not travelling to Canada to look at properties. It is common for property buyers to refrain from real estate decisions during times of volatility.

Compared to counties like China, Italy, South Korea and Iran, Canada has been relatively unscathed by COVID 19. It is expected that the situation will stabilize by May when the flu season is over. Maranger remains optimistic that increased demand will be experienced by the housing market particularly since Canada has a great international reputation.

On the other hand, Christian Vermast, Sotheby’s agent, expects that the commercial aspect of the real estate market will be hit hard and fast. People are avoiding social gatherings and large groups. Businesses like restaurants and retailers may postpone their plans of expansion until next year. Residential real estate property decisions are more emotional while commercial property decisions are based on investment decisions.

While it is still premature to conclude about the effects of COVID-19 on Canada’s real estate market, it has been observed that commercial real estate market is slower moving than the stock market. However, the first quarter of the year is usually the weakest for commercial real estate so that making conclusions must be done carefully.

Since interest rates have been recently lowered, it could support consumer activity that can create increased momentum for Canada’s residential real estate sector.

Meanwhile, if you are trying to find a trucking company to ship your goods, make sure that you choose wisely. To save your precious time and money, look for the seasoned experts that can provide the right solutions for your needs with professional expertise at a competitive rate.

Marketing Technologies For Real Estate Agents

In a YouTube video you will see King Kong Sabri Suby explaining the science of customer acquisition in the real estate industry. It is very likely that the client of a real estate agent is a stranger who won’t appreciate a sales pitch until he is ready. Clients prefer to work with someone they know which means building a good relationship early in the process.

The real estate industry is built on people and relationship but new technology has changed the game. By embracing recent innovations in technology, real estate agents can market a property to potential clients without missing out on a huge opportunity to make a sale.

Home buyers and sellers cannot be at the same place every time. For the real estate agent, time is very critical because he has to coordinate and attend open houses and showings. Aside from 360-degree and drone videography, 3D virtual tours are also available that allow a prospective buyer to view a client’s home even without their presence. Technology will also benefit global property investors who are unwilling to travel to visit a property.

Virtual reality is also important when the real estate agent offers a property that is still under development. It can be difficult for a client to imagine how the property will look like once it is completed and furnished. VR will allow a buyer to have a realistic view of the property that is completely developed.

According to the results of a 2018 survey made by the National Association of Realtors, 44% of recent buyers start the buying process by searching online for properties that are for sale. It is important for a real estate website to include specific keywords to make sure that website content appears higher in search results. People generally click on sites that appear on the first few pages of search engine results.

According to King Kong Sabri Suby, the number one highest converting and profit exploding traffic comes from organic search. Google can’t be tricked into ranking a site which means paying attention to SEO keywords that people use to search a property or a real estate agent with whom to work.

Microsoft Backs Off From Changing Chrome’s Search Engine

When it comes to search engines and complimentary things like King Kong SEO, people have preferences, and people have trouble even entertaining the idea of changing it. So what Microsoft was thinking when they announced that its Office365 ProPlus package will switch with computers’ search engine with Microsoft Search in Bing, was a question people were openly and angrily asking about.

Late in February 2020 quietly announced that they’d change Google’s Chrome to Bing, their own search service, on all computers that run Office 365 ProPlus, which acts as the lynchpin of the Office 365 subscriptions.

The changes were to start happening in March 2020, and to end by July of the same year, depending on when corporate IT departments had scheduled Office 365 ProPlus’ upgrades. According to the company’s statement on the matter, starting with v.2020 of Office 365 ProPlus, the Microsoft Search in Bing will be installed on computers, with Bing becoming the default search engine for the Chrome browser. The extension will be installed alongside installations of Office 365 ProPlus, as well as updates of existing software.

Microsoft stated that they also had plans to do the same with Firefox, although they didn’t have a specific date.

According to the tech company, the reason for the change, was that Bing was necessary in order to ensure that the Microsoft Search function worked which, alongside an Office 365 account, allows users to search for internal information, like documents on OneDrive or SharePoint using the browser’s address bar.

With many like King Kong SEO generally being optimized for Google, the reaction to the planned changes were fierce and swift, with comments mocking  the company and openly mocking them as asinine.

In response, Microsoft has stated that they’re pulling back from the idea, saying that the Microsoft Search in Bing browser extension won’t be automatically deployed with Office 365 ProPlus. The company stated this via a blog post, noting that IT departments can choose to opt-in from the Microsoft 365 admin center.

However, people think that Microsoft isn’t being clear enough with its language, stating that the extension could be pushed to a few users, instead of everyone as originally planned.
