There’s a new luxury resort in Maldives currently under development, the Crossroads project, which will cover a 7 km lagoon and nine islands in the archipelago. Once completed in June, the property will be the largest integrated resort, not just in the Maldives, but in the Indian Ocean. Recently, the property announced that it will start welcoming guests starting in June 2019.
The project, noted to be one of the biggest tourism projects in the archipelago’s history, covers the openings of the Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and the SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will be located at the centre of the Emboodhoo Lagoon, and brings the quality experience associated with the Hard Rock brand, bringing good music to a property sporting contemporary design, curated memorabilia given a regional spin. The property offers 178 family suites, beach villas, as well as overwater villas in one or two-bedroom iterations, as well as the enjoyable activities that’s expected of the Hard Rock experience.
SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, meanwhile is a more personalised experienced. When guests reach the property, they can create their own bathroom amenities by picking out stuff from the luxury resort in Maldives’ Aroma Lab. An Aroma Specialist is also on hand to give information on the products, offering advice and showing how they’re made. Guests can handpick from a selection of twelve scents, including lavender, rosemary, and cedarwood, combining them in order to create their own amenities. For those looking for food, there’s also a Snap: Snack Box that also offer complimentary refreshments.
This property sports 198 guestrooms, beach villas, overwater villas spread across the tropical island. All the rooms feature al fresco spaces, spacious interiors, on top of the personalised creature comforts, made with a unique, artisanal touch. The resort is located at walking distance from The Marina @ CROSSROADS.
Crossroads Maldives is a multi-island integrated leisure and entertainment project, with the goal of redefine holidays in the Maldives, and change the face of tourism in the Greater Male Region. On top of the new hotels, the project will also include a luxurious 30-berth yacht marina, and 11,000m2 of retail space, which feature world-class facilities.
